Ömer Faruk Çelik, District Government of Harran

Mr Ömer Faruk Çelik was born in 1986 in Altinyayla, Burdur. After completing his primary and secondary education in Altinyayla, Mr Celik graduated from Bursa Hürriyet Lisesi. In 2007, he graduated from the Public Administration Department of Dumlupinar University. He started public service in 2009 as Assistant Revenue Specialist at the Yenibosna Revenue Administration Office in Istanbul. In 2009, he succeeded in the examination of the District Governor's Candidate Exam, which was established by the Ministry of Interior in February 2010. He was appointed as the Isparta Governor Candidate in February 2010 in Antalya Kaş District Governorate Relief Department. He started his duties as Isparta Governor Candidate in May 2010 respectively. He attended a language course in State of Virginia. He conducted the Foreign Ministry's Internship at the United Nations (New York, NY). On his return abroad, he served as Deputy Governor of Boğazlıyan District. He then completed the 98th Term District Governor's Course in first place. After completing his duties between the dates of 2013-2015 as Atabey District Governor, he was appointed as the Governor of Doğanyurt on the date of 2015-2017. Mr. Çelik holds his duties as the District Governor of Harran since 15.09.2017.
